Binge Reader or Snacker?
I tend to be a Binger. If a book is good, I just get completely absorbed. It allows me to disconnect from all the stress and anxiety inducers around me and decompress what has built throughout the day. I can blow through a five-book series in maybe two days… depending on my sleep needs.
But lately, I find my Snacking instead. Life can get busy, not leaving me the ability to read for a few hours straight. Those are the days I try to Snack, just a chapter or two, enough to relax enough to sleep.
This requires a special book:
It has to be more than just good. It’s a book that holds your attention from chapter to chapter. It must be a book with unique storyline development and characters that are strong enough to pull a reader right back in.
No filler or tangent chapters. You know, the chapters meant to fill word count but don’t really add to the story? Even a small section could cause a Snacker to lose the taste and look for another yummier read to nibble on.
You’re So Dead to Me (Grimdale Graveyard Mysteries luxe editions Book 1) by Steffanie Holmes had me coming back for more all week!
So how do you devour your weekly reads? In a big gulp, or one nibble at a time?
