Ebooks vs. Paperbacks
Do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?
I like both.
It mostly comes down to cost when I'm selecting my books, and with digital books being significantly cheaper, unless sold by a traditional publishing house I've found, then they tend to be my go-to choice. I find that I take my time and read slower in paperback form. How about you?
So I read mostly ebooks, but books that I absolutely love and reread over and over, I usually always invest in the paperback.
Sounds like an expensive investment for a book nerd like me. I seriously LOVE a lot of books. And it would be seriously expensive if I bought new paperbacks, but I only buy used ones. You’d be amazed at how cheap you can get a nearly new book.
Though I might be dooming myself by sharing my shopping secrets, here are my top four ways to save on used books:
Shop Local!
Check in your area for a used book store. I actually live five minutes from mine. The place is amazing but overwhelming.
All books are $3 or less and they have an awesome trade-for-credit policy.
Amazon
"Ask Dave Taylor" wrote a fantastic article with a step-by-step guide on how to find used copies of your favorite books. I have personally gotten book for as low as $2 with FREE SHIPPING! When they arrived, I could barely tell the difference between the used book I received compared to a brand-new copy.

Biblio.com
This is my favorite way to shop used online. I can get a whole series or the first few books of the series for dirt cheap! The best part is they have the website available in the UK, AU, and NZ. Scroll to the very bottom to find the alternative countries website.

The Book Bundler
I only recently discovered this website, so I have only placed one order. I was very happy with the quality of books that arrived. Basically, they buy large quantities of books for pennies on the dollar and turn around the savings to their customers. They sell these used books in small bundled packets for dirt cheap.
The best part is they are always posting new sales on their Facebook page.
